Import ESPN League

Pull your ESPN league's rosters and weekly scores into Fantasy Freedom. Private leagues need your personal ESPN cookies.

1. Connect your ESPN account

ESPN doesn't offer a "Sign in with ESPN" button, so this page acts like a connected account once you paste your ESPN cookies. Your cookies are encrypted and stored only for your signed-in user account. Follow the steps below to find everything you need.

What you need before you start

  1. Sign in to this app first. Use the link in the notice above or go to Sign In. Your ESPN credentials are saved per-user, so the app needs to know who you are.
  2. Sign in to ESPN on the same browser. Go to fantasy.espn.com/football and log into the ESPN account that owns or belongs to the league you want to import.
  3. Open your browser's developer tools.
    • Chrome / Edge: press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows) / Cmd+Option+I (Mac).
    • Firefox: press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows) / Cmd+Option+I (Mac).
    • Safari: enable the Develop menu, then choose Develop → Show Web Inspector.
  4. Find the Application / Storage tab. In Chrome/Edge it's called Application; in Firefox it's Storage; in Safari it's under the Storage section.
  5. Open Cookies for https://fantasy.espn.com. Click Cookies in the left sidebar, then select the entry for https://fantasy.espn.com.
  6. Copy the two cookie values.
    • espn_s2 — a long string that usually starts with AEC.
    • SWID — a GUID inside curly braces, e.g. {12345678-ABCD-1234-EFGH-123456789012}. Copy it including the braces.
  7. Paste them below and click Save ESPN Credentials. After saving, refresh this page to load your connected leagues.

Tip: If the cookies are blank, make sure you are logged into ESPN and reload the ESPN page before opening the developer tools.

2. Import a league

How to find your League ID

  1. Open your ESPN fantasy football league in a browser.
  2. Look at the address bar. The URL will look something like:
    https://fantasy.espn.com/football/league?leagueId=1094134323&seasonId=2026
  3. Copy the number after leagueId= and paste it above.

If you don't see leagueId= in the URL, try opening the League tab or the Standings page — the ID is usually visible there.

When on, this page checks your ESPN account on load and imports every league you're in that hasn't been synced yet.
